Can someone please get started on how to make a xbox1 component cable ? I have the pinout here but i`m new to making cables. http://www.gamesx.com/avpinouts/xbox.htm am i right in saying that i have to bridge the 18 & 19 points ? And do i just use the 22 ,11 and 9 points or do i have to use the 22,11,9 GND points. Thanks for any info.
I tried a similar project a while ago trying to make a SoG (sync on green) VGA cable, and it ended up in disaster, as unless you are very steady handed when it comes to soldering it is very difficult to do I have a couple of sets of component cables, offical and 3rd party, and the 3rd party ones are pretty decent quality for the price (about £3 off ebay) I'll see if i still have some pics of the pinouts i obtained if you are dead set on making your own, as the are more detailed than the link you have
You can bridge the 18 and 19 pins, but only if you connect them to ground as well. The ground links on the connector are all common, so you should be able to use them all safely for the sheath ground on the connectors.
I followed this pinout to add the outputs to the system a few years ago. Didn't try bridging anything though.
Basically you want to connect 18 to 6 19 to 7 Then using 5 phono leads, use the left one for wire to the phono centre and the right one for the phono outer part or shield. 1 to Audio Right, 2 to shield (Red Phono) 14 to Audio left and 15 to shield (White phono) 9 to Pb (Blue Difference Signal), 10 to shield (Blue phono) 11 to Y (Luminance), 12 to shield (Green Phono) 22 to Pr (Red Difference Signal), 21 to shield (Red Phono, don't mix up with Audio Right)
