Is it possible to make ps3 master discs that will boot on a test ps3, and if so how and or what tools do i need to use to do it? Thanks Bob
Indeed, you also need a decrypted EBOOT/self if you want to run your title/game from a masterdisc on a debug console, same for any sprx that comes with it.
I presume that, in order to obtain a decrypted EBOOT/self, you need other specific tools too though, right?
you would need an older self (pre 2.10 iirc), a way to load it, and an understanding of how to use gdb (to obtain it from memory) and then understanding of the elf file format so you could rebuild the elf, and then fself the elf you just rebuilt XD Like assembler said if the learning part of all this isn't what interests you you might just be better off buying the game oh wait.... you need the game to begin with But regardless good luck to you
So decrypting an EBOOT is not simply a case of putting a normal blu-ray disc through a certain program then, it involves a certain level of expertise in using the software tools in conjunction with the debugging station. Is that about right?
well imtoodvs you are a "dev" after all so I am quite sure you can figure it out on your own... or ask your "friends" if you see what I mean. One thing I know is that there is no way I am helping you to do it.
hey Mathieulh, good to see you over here. i asked a question, & i feel your reply was kinda childish. No disrespect intended, but if you didn't plan on helping, back up & let someone who can do the job. how are things coming along with your other projects, i hope all is well. one day i hope to be regarded as a "Dev", but for now im just a noob.
