How to Open XBOX DVD Kit Sensor?

I tried opening one the other day and I couldn't even pop open a corner. I know people have opened one before to install the sensor in the unit.
How do you open one of these? I'm wanting to dye the casing of it to match my custom White system.

 

Remove the sticker from the back, you will find the screw to open it

EDIT: There is no screw on the back of all 3 I own :/

 

Real original ones are glued.... lol

You have no choice but pop it open with a razor or knife.

Damn. Oh well. No wonder why they never keep the housing

 

you could always crack the casing at the sides and then pull the housing apart or apply something very hot (knife, old soldering iron) to the edges to break the glue seal

 

Out of curiosity is this related to the White XBOX project ?
