How to update Dashboard on XDK?

I have slim XDK with 13599 dash(i never tried to update it cos everything worked fine).
Now i need higher version of dash(i can't lauch some of new content).
I downloaded SystemUpdate_15574_CD from xbox.com and patched all xex files in systemupdate folder+default.xex
When i launched default.xex from xexmenu it said "you console is up to date".


P.S. I bought XDK to play some discs with betas and i enjoy it because its relatively rare piece of gamehistory - not for modding/cheating/hacking/programming. In other words i'm noob user of XDK.
Could you PM me about how can i install new dash to XDK using only usb stick(i strongly don't want to wire XDK and PC).

 

retail updates wont work with kits u need recoveries

 

Mine is 20871.2.
Tell me please which one is the last avaliable for public? Just i'm a bit scared to find something like fallen93 uploaded

 

You got any XDK recoveries and xex patches that can work on retail? If thats possible

 

I dont know if asking for current gen is allowed. PM him instead and edit yours?

 

I had no need in that stuff...
Everything worked fine before, just new content require higher ver. of dashboard

 

21173.8 recovery added the option to turn the XDK into a retail.

 

That's sweet! Only if its possible the other way around

 

It's not nor will it be unless you use fusion or rgloader.
