I found this at around $ 5 and bought it. However, since the version was low, we updated to the best version of caetla 0.34. But since there were no CODE LISTs, my old memories were full of code lists. Is there any way to dump all cheats codes to the cartridge via CD? No one has posted about this method.
The later versions of caetla store the cheat database on a memory card. I believe the only way to upload cheats is via the comms link which is an old ISA card. You can dig up a circuit such as the freewing to do this by parallel port but it's probably not worth the hassle. Look for one of the hacked ROMs that have the cheats built in and you can easily flash this using xflash via CD. There did used to be a site up that had all the ROM variants on xianiax or something but I can't find it these days.
If you want to update the cartridge via xflash, are there any files with all built-in CODES? I looked up several files, but I could not find anywhere with code embedded. Also, if the files are https://xianaix.net/museum.htm, it seems to be a place for COMM links.
Is there anything I'm looking for? Most of the files here are Flash files that do not have a code listing.
Just to the link above and download the zipfile for ahoy 0.34. Thenm get hold of xflash. Xflash can build an ISO for you (so use it to build one with ahoy 0.34). Then just put this disc in the console and flash it to the cartridge. Ahoy is for 256k carts I believe, so if yours is one of the older 128k carts you might be out of luck, unless you find an original action replay firmware. Thanks
Thank you very much. I'll try it the way you told me. Other work: I tried this, but no program responded in XP. Is Waiting for comms the part that should be turned on when connecting comms? I am trying many things that I have not tried since I was a child.
I tried to swap after booting from xflash disk, but I can not find the file. ps setup cue file creation, and burned to pioneer 4x on FUSION CD [TAIYO OEM]
When you download xflash, if I remember correctly it has some instructions on how to build the image. I'm sure you put the ar flash bin files in a folder then run a small utility that binds it all together. It's been a while since I used it.
