Hi I am looking for a way to go about doing this properly without making my systems look like trash. I have never done this before and all the googles results I came up with I thought the end results looked like trash with folks using nail files and other not exactly precision tools. Any help would be great and thanks in advance.

What I usually do is cut the tabs first and then file it down so it's perfectly square. You can keep to the original shape of the cart slot, but I like to square it off so anything will fit. You can get good results with a file so long as you watch what you're doing. Some people like to use a Dremel as well but that's very risky if you haven't used one before.

I always use a rotary toll or a dremel as every one call it. All my genesis have the cart slot widen and looks like there come from factory like that but you have to be very careful one mistake and you know what happen. You can look the one in my post that has it.

There isn't a detailed comparison yet. But the slot of 32X model MK-84000A seems to be wider. Mine for some reason just snugly fits Japanese games.
