Hi everyone, getting into code always interested me but I could never find the tools and, (the real reason) was too spooked that I'd fry whatever I was working on to get any real work done. I figured I'd join up finally because a lot of my searches for game help ended up routing here, so I might as well commit to it. I'm sorry I'm not really talented or experienced in a many (read, any) disassemblers or burning or ripping ware (soft or hard), but the stuff really interests me. I did take 3 years of computer science so I know how to read some some of the hex editors and know what variables and a dll file is, but the hardware and driver stuff I'm shaky on. Anywho, I ended up running an arcade for a bit with student loan money and in the process found out about here and the cool people doing awesome work. So I'll mostly be a lurker still, but if there's something I can help someone out with I'll be glad to help .
Welcome! Start off with software programming - there are all sorts of devices to transfer your creations to consoles if that's your thing. I'm sure you'll get some help around here, and be able to help others! ;-)
