Yeah. The Saturn one I'm able to consistently do guiles Super in SSF2T. It's not that bad of a stick that's stock.

the Agetech Dreamcast stick is good too...but not AS good.

Well, you Americans got that Agetech thingy while I am sure Barc0de is talking about the simply AMAZING Sega stick that was around in Europe and Japan :110:

As for the original question, I think the DC one (the EU/JP one) is better than the Saturn stick. The Saturn stick's button/stick hardware is not really as responsive as actual arcade hardware. For the perfect stick you had to exchange the whole button equipment (which is well possible via desoldering of course, but I can't be arsed with that).

    @graciano
I think the artwork had to go anyway, but still the picture makes me feel like having a dagger in my heart. I'd recommend using something else as new background. That blue/greyish pattern looks like a tablecloth.
Good luck with your project though. The Saturn stick delivers a very nice building-ground for a customized Arcade stick. Alternatively I can recommend (for further mods) Hori's Fighting Stick SS. It was actually made for fighting games (button layout-wise) and very high-quality (better than SEGA's parts I suppose).

indeed, that's the one I m talking about, the JAP/EUR. I held one once boxed, but it was for someone else so I didn't test it.

Hey! You can't show that, it's a work in progress! I'm embarassed :crying:

Seriously, you should get the art printed at mamemarquees on that bulletproof vinyl. It's around $25.

Check out this Japanese HSS-0136 modder. You can see how he cut slits in the vinyl to wrap it around the curves of the metal faceplate:

Yeah, i'm definitely gonna hit up mamemarquees. $25 isn't bad at all.

Is the next version of it. Which looks super awesome!

We were tweaking it every day for about a week. Looks like it's finally done now:

I've been obsessed with re-creating some arcade panel designs lately. Instead of doing that, I thought why not use the Virtua Stick art as a starting point and completely bastardize it? I'm happy with the result.

Those circles in the background are from the XBOX360 box art.

The japanese virtua stick was sold in Germany with a cardboard wraparound and a Saturn -> Playstation converter included as a "playstation fighting stick" for 49DM prior to 2001 in some electronics chains. The original red-print-on-brown-cardboard saturn case was visible at the sides though, and me and a few friends went shopping :)
They were just the real deal for all those capcom fighing games, aaah those sweet memories of almost absent loading times thanks to the 4meg cartridge.

    Nice! Those are great mods.

My project totally just fell apart. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's attempted a mod and failed miserably. lol.

@hrahn I still have another Virtua Stick that I use for Super Turbo.
