35 days and a few hrs? so that'll be 26th/27th sept? Hmmm, seems a bit early for release, although for all the stuff that has been "leaked" so far, it could be Edit: After a bit of googling, it looks like it could be a countdown to another "OurColony" style site.
Perhaps a surprise "HANDHELD" announcement!!!! What does "ougen" mean? open? Is this austrian/german or something.......
Im surprised Microsoft hasnt already released a portable. Portable Halo 1 or 2 with wireless Multiplayer gameplay would sell a lot of them, IMO. Wonder if it would be for Shaq hands or not, though!
A portable xbox would be too expensive, the only option would be to use a non-X86 (thus cheaper) CPU, but then they have to recode all the games. In my opinion they should do a portable dreamscast (obviously with other name) since there is a SH4+VR in a chip which makes it perfect for portables. Then buy all the DC games and presto! And yeah, the old xbox pad was kinda tiny..........
There are some interesting possible explanations here: http://www.xbox360news.com/Blogs/News/hqs/blr_351.aspx I don't know how credible they are, but its worth a look.
It's "origen." He was a Christian philosopher (later wrongly associated with gnosticism and deemed a heretic). Obviously Microsoft is implying that their new system is the Logos finally resolving the ratio between the material world or man and the perfect oneness or God. Hrmph. That sort of marketing might work on neo-Platonists, but ontology has evolved a lot in the last 2000 years, I don't think most people are gonna buy into it. Get with the times, Microsoft. You should be saying that your system is the ultimate cross-hermeneutic resolving all probelms of supervenience and identity. That'd get people's interest. I think it's latinized Greek of some kind, though Origen was originally form Egypt, I think, so it might be originally Coptic. ...word is bondage...
originally there was going to be a portable xbox...read it in "opening the xbox"...or something like that
