than after Googling for Hudson Soft POEMS, I found:

    http://www.hudson.co.jp/ct/eng/index.html

I would love to see something from Hudson Soft and NEC again.
something more mainstream than the PC-FX.

how about a "PC Engine 4"

    (PC-Engine 2 = SuperGrafx, PC-Engine 3 = PC-FX)

call the new system 'PC-Engine 4' in Japan and 'UltraGrafx' in the U.S. :-D

or new computer along the lines of the Sharp X68000 which also used Hudson Soft custom chipset.

I'd enjoy a new computer. Some alternative to x86/M$.

They'd never do a new computer. It would neve be able to compete.

It wouldn't need to compete, just fill a niche market.

can't see a new computer coming out but a new console wouldn't be such a bad idea. Wow, just think about it, another PC Engine :)

The technology will be in mobile phones, that's the largest operation Hudson Soft Japan have these days, see their site.

What a shame that would be.

First the DC-on-a-chip and now this :-D
However, I wonder how much popularity NEC's IP still enjoys amongst the public... probably not much...
