A while back at thepawn shop, I saw in a box some game called stadium events. It looked very crappy and gay. Went home, found out what it was, drove back like a madman. Gone. Sigh.
I've done that before, but over longer periods of time. Radio Shack used to have a repair center here in Florida, and the front of the place was set up like a warehouse clearance store. They had a Tandy VIS there for a few months, that I kept telling myself I needed to buy. When I finally decided to get it, Radio Shack had closed the place down and moved their repair operation to Atlanta.
#1 rule of collecting/buying: don't ever "go back to the shop later". It's happened to me quite a few times too.
I googled "rare game stadium events" and found an ebay auction where it finished for $1495. Something similar happened to me when I was in college. I was going to go home w/ these two girls (one was straight up dike I'm pretty sure, so wouldn't have bothered w/ me...the other was game though) but like a dumb ass I told them I would catch up w/ them at her house b/c I wanted to club a bit more (until about 6AM). Swung by later, and of course, no answer. After that you'd think you'd quit eating ecstacy every weekend. That sure as shit didn't happen.
tough shit man, but i kinda wonder how can it be be such a high profile in the gaming community does NOT know that!? just an FYI, if you find a golden cart with a couple of dipswitches sticking out at the pawnshop next time, you might wanna fork out the $2 or whatever theyre asking for it
Seriously, the name sounded lame. And it just shows that a giant turd can be rare. I don't collect anything older than nes, and ony casually. I never really was muich into nes as I had a master system.
It's the game that was liscenced by Nintendo for use with the power pad, there's a very small print run of original carts.
It is World Class Track Meet for the Power Pad. Bandai sold it as a standalone for a very short time before they licensed the Power Pad to Nintendo. After it was licensed all original stock not sold had to be returned. From what I understand both Stadium Events and Bandai's Power Pad were only sold at Woolworth's in the north as a test run which is why it is so rare.
