Thanks again for the kind comments - I do appreciate it.

Under the Panasonic Q & Sega Saturn is the Casio Loopy, released in 1994 (thanks ph4 - you were right on the button).

I am still awaiting the Sega SG-1000 from a recent purchase.

Concerning the time frame, I did allot of research on the various systems and technology that separated them, and have built my collection as such - just getting at first all the first run units for a particualr system/technology. Hence, adding the various model releases of the 'main' systems hasn't been my priority. I have targeted a few systems to complete their 'line' (i.e. 3DO, even though I am missing the Sanyo TRY release and the FX-25S).

Regarding the games, I admit that my collection is not huge at all (around 900 games). The book shelf units that 'frame in' the system shelves are 15" (37.5 cm) deep and can hold a great deal. For instance, in the book case to the left, on the top shelf are my Fairchild Channel F games - 24 of them not including a few dupes. I know I need to display them better and get some pictures up, especially games from some of the odd systems like the Super A'Can, Casio PV-1000 and the Cassette Vision series.

Some time this upcoming weekend I'll take a shot in the evening with just the spot lights on to give you an idea of the effect of them. First, I have to figure out how to turn off the auto-flash on my camera :)

Most of the individual system pictures are now posted in the gallery at Digital Press. I'll take some shots this weekend of the games too.

    Thanks again all.

Casio Loopy is stretching the definition of games console... it's not really much more then glorified label printer, with the games being dress up games and the like.

I would have to disagree with you Jam, concerning the stretching of a gaming console. The Loopy was one of the first consoles in the video game industry to target the untapped female gamer segment. Though part of it's main purpose is to print out labels, the interactivity involved with this process is a definite game. I can't say that I am a huge fan of it, but I do commend Casio for their attempt and ingenuity.

ConsoleFun - you are right on - The C64 GS is definitely on my target list and is a needed addition

Marriot_Guy. Like I have said to others with their collections. Wow :) Sometimes I wish there was computer clubs like in the old days, where there was a weekly (or bi weekly) meetup when I was a child, Where we played games, looked into electronics, played with walkietalkies and other cool stuff. But that club I was a member of, became a crime infested shithole to say at least. And alot of other bad stuff, so in reality, you can only see those old, and great machine via conventions and others alike.

Wolverine - I understand where you are coming from. I remember the days when I was sitting at that TI-00 4/a and trying to program games... even going to the library to get a book to learn BASIC. I guess that is kind of my attraction to collecting all these systems - to be able to showcase at some point in time where the gaming system began and how it has matured and grown through time. The great many failures for some of those systems did lend a hand to what we see today.

The greenery was to just soften it up a bit and add some color. Henners was right - it came as a suggestion from my lady friend.
