No real "quirky indie" bullshit, just games that are actually good. You get Cave Story and Super Meat Boy! http://www.humblebundle.com/
Buy this for a heap of money even if just for Super Meat Boy. Absolutely fabulous game. Even though I came out of the game without a soul.
I've been buying the Humble bundles since #2 (I really regret not getting the first one) and they're all worth it! Even if for just 1 of the games, you only pay what you think it's worth for you (or what you can or want to pay) and it's yours. Plus you decide how your money is split among the devs, humble bundle project and charity... To make it even better most games are multi-platform (Windows, Linux and Mac) and some even include soundtrack and/or source code.
I didn't really wanna make a new topic about it, but everything on GOG.com is 50% off! Descent 1+2, Screamer and Wing Commander 1-3 are now mine...maybe one day I'll actually PLAY all these damn games...
My god........its full of awesome! They could make the other packs available during holidays, or make a mega-pack of sorts for a minimum price (like no less than $25)
It's an amazing package. The recent bundles have been how I got hooked back into playing PC games again. My Steam backlog is huge now! Having Linux versions of those games has been great, because sometimes I can't run some Windows games (due to awful drivers from Intel) and to be able to use them i use the Linux ports. Yes, I installed Ubuntu to play games. Crazy, but it works. (No Steam achivements tough) Also, you guys ready for the Steam Winter Sale? Oh god my wallet is going to cry.
the humble indie bundle is literally the best thing to happen to pc gaming since the orange box. -adrianc
Now you also get the games from Bundle #3 by paying more than the average! Unfortunately, Bundle #3 was crap, but hey, free games.
I just bought it for Cave Story (I never played super meat boy, but I'll give it a try) (I bought previously the bundle #2), I really think it's a great initiative.
Jamestown and Super Meat Boy alone made it worth it to me. I already had SMB on XBLA, but now I can play it with my USB Saturn pad.
Have you really played the games? Sorry, but I don't agree (of course it's a matter of "taste"/liking, so each will have its own opinion). Although I haven't had time to play through the entire games, I did play a bit of each and found most of them enjoyable.
Super Meat boy and Cave Story+ are definitely amazing. Good to see devs basically donating their work to charity.
This bundle really is awesome, especially with the added games from the last bundle. VVVVVV and Jamestown are awesome games, plus Bit.Trip.Runner is awesome. Pick up this one if you have the extra money.
Actually, I've realized that Bit.Trip.Runner is a complete load of crap. However, you should still buy this for Super Meat Boy and Jamestown, plus you can use them, as well as some of the worse games (And Yet It Moves at least) to get achievements that might get you prizes on Steam's holiday sale.
