Nintendo at their World Store in New York had a limited 500 copy bundle of Hyrule Warriors for sale. Sold out within an hour. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/...e-over-ultra-limited-hyrule-warriors-edition/ I wish I had known about this before it happened, I would have posted it and maybe someone here would have snagged one.
I don't know, it's a cardboard box - the game itself and.... a scarf. And people queued up at 3 in the morning to get this? Sure it will be worth a lot, but nothing crazy. Come on, it's just a scarf and I don't see them being the most collectible item out there. The Japanese limited edition looks a heck of a lot better. Wait for the initial excitement to blow over and get it cheap, that's my advice
Japan limited edition is probably worth the trouble more. The scarf, is just a scarf. Most will be black by the end of the WiiU cycle
We got that crappy scarf pack in the UK: http://www.game.co.uk/en/hyrule-war...geSize=20&searchTerm=zelda hyrule&catGroupId=
I can appreciate Nintendo wanting to create limited editions, but they must've understood this would happen & that the negativity against the flippers might've outweighed any buzz generated. Maybe any publicity is good publicity, but a lot of fans seem to have a sour taste in their mouths. I wonder if any of these people will actually refuse to buy the regular edition on principle. I wonder how many people have actually opened this thing up. I think it's cool that they are doing limited stuff like this. It gets collectors & casual fans excited & energized. I think they just have to figure out a way to weed out the flippers. Having people wait in line in New York at 3 am is not that way...
