Here is some pictures. But I wont be selling it. What can I do with these? Its made in April 2007. According to the person who sold it to me. This are his pictures and its on the way to my place. It looked diffrent from the normal xbox 360 so i bought it. can it play games?
Nice piece of kit. What you have is a xbox 360 Test Kit.If you want to play retail 360 games than think again,a Xedk 360 cannot play retail xbox 360 games, only debug games like what you have on the hdd of the test kit. The hard drive should be a 60 gb hdd. With out the Xedk sdk or xbox 360 debug games than theres not a whole lot you can do with it.Also the piece on top of the test kit is whats called a sidecar,it holds the sata 2.5 hdd and also does dvd emulation, cant do dvd emulation without the sdk. Man these xbox 360 test kits are becoming more common then ever.If you have any other questions dont hesitate to ask.
You have there an xbox 360 test kit by the looks of it with the sidecar(the hard drive) with also the full release of spiderman to. Its very lucky to find an xbox 360 with anything on the sidecar or the sidecar at all these days but more keep poping up. I'm guess the guy who sold it you had no idea what he had because what you have there can go from 800 and above. It wont play retail games at all btw since its meant for developers to test game code.
I dont think this machine is manufactured in 2007 the sdk build in this machine is from 2006 Build 2920 - May 2006 i dont know how old this sdk version is, because this version in particular i dont have it, i got Build 2920 and its from may 2006 so im prety sure this machine is not from 2007, anyways nice adition to your collection, seems to have a debug copy of spiderman, if you dont know it, you will not be able to play retail games on it, and debug games are hard to get, i have some and i know what im talking about Cheers
I am a noob in this thing. I wonder what can I do about it. Any links or sticky thread for me to go learn more about this.I dont mind learning from scratch. The guy say he got it off from some guy who says it cant play any games and he too thought he was 'scammed' into buying it. I wonder how this thing got out to see light especially I read that its for developers. Sorry man. Thats what the seller told me. How do I buy some debugs? Maybe from you if you are willing to sell? Edit: Thanks for all the replies by the way. Maybe you guys can help tell me more on what can I do with it.
Hello Im not interested on sell any piece of software, mainly because i never paid for the stuff i got and MOST but not all i got it with the agregement on not share it, and thats what im going to do. PD maybe the reason why the guy that sold you this machine is because he cant run anything on it, cause as ppl told you before debug machines cant run any retail media, neither original discs, neither copies of its contents, so maybe he was stucked on it. Cheers
Nice unit. I am sure it probley cost you a pretty penny. Normally white units with sidecars were final dev units. M$ removed the kernel debugging by that point. Unfortunetly those will only play debug games. If you can find an xdk than you can develop your own games with it. If you look through the threads there is one that talks about the generations. if you have any specific questions you are welcome to pm me.
I don't know if you just want to play, or that you are also interested in collecting and rare stuff. Since at this moment a debug game would probally cost you more then a retail one. So its not going to be a cheap ride, but a fun ride it is! About the manif. date... If you look at the back (about underneath the video connections) you can see a sticker with barcode etc. There you can also see the date it was made.
360 debug games are pretty hard to find, yes at times expensive.Just keep a eye out in the buy/sell forum,I have seen a couple of 360 debug games for sell before.
i will keep it for collection aND will learn how to play around with the softwares if you guys are willing to teach me.
Probably stolen. Even if the company goes bankrupt it's supposed to go back to Microsoft. The problem with these xbox 360 tests is they are just as unreliable as the retail ones & I doubt microsoft will repair it for you. So it's worth taking preventative measures. And as everyone has said, you can only play debug games on them. Microsoft sign the executables and test the game before shipping it, the only way the developers get a signed executable is to go out and buy the game off the shelves. Currently there is no way to unsign an executable either ( and probably never will be ). smf
tzeman, please use caution when buying debug games. Since your sdk is rather old, newer games won't work. So all the games prior Spiderman would probally work, and maybe some games after the Spiderman release. So don't just buy any debug game you find, becouse it would be a shame to blow allot of money on a disc you can't play.
okay. Noted. Just came across this stuff. As I say I didnt know what I gotten until some guy told me. It look unqiue so I got it. Thanks for your caution. Okay. Noted too.
A Demo Kit can cost up to 1800-2000bucks? And a Dev Kit can cost that much too? I just PM some guys at another forum who are selling them. Without any softwares or for the DevKit without any Sidecar.
Where do people keep getting a hold of all this xbox 360 stuff I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a dev kit.
Lol,a demo kit is not worth anywhere close to that price, now if it was a all black 360 dev kit with the grey sidecar than I could see it going for that price.
