Just wanted to check. I mean surely it is given the cart, but the print quality on the sticker's pretty good and it's on straight. (having said that those vertical lines are pretty ugly. They're much more visible here than irl). I've not seen a boot of this game before. I've had this for 6 years for what it's worth. It plays fine, I completed it when I picked it up.

Didn't Oracle of Ages officially come in one of the translucent cart housings with the bulge at the top? Looks to me like someone recycled an old standard GB cart. The printing on the circuit board would tell you for sure, if you're willing to open it up.

Yeah. This is an original gameboy cart, not a gameboy color. If I had whatever kind of tool you need to open it I would do but it needs some kind of socket thing. Pretty sure you'd not see the N word on the board anyway.

Its a bootleg I have both versions of the game and they had there own colour for the cart. That one was a blue and the other game was in an orange colour I think. Theres so many bootlegs of gameboy/advance games.

I thought the legit ones were all transparent not coloured? The labels are blue and orangey red.

Could be coloured in the US I suppose, but it's not that way here in PAL land. I noticed the US info on this cart btw, that's why I thought it was worth asking the question here. I'm not too hot on US portable stuff.

Actually that is correct I got the colour bit wrong my bad. They are transparent carts with coloured labels. I got mine when I was in the US years ago. Am I correct when I say that Capcom co created these?

You mean the carts or the games? :) The games were definitely co-developed by Capcom.

So, does it play in color like legit copies or is it B&W?

They must be in colour because the game itself was only for Gameboy Colour.

On a side note I really enjoyed both of these games when they were released. They were good story wise and I always liked the Zelda DX on the Gameboy. These were using the same engine if I remember just modified a bit.

    Ah, k.

I enjoyed these as well back in the day. I leaned a bit more towards Ages rather than seasons back then. But I am sure i'd think differently playing them now.

The only purpose the clear green cases had was to prevent putting them in an original GB as the games wouldn't be compatible. But all games were supposed to have a message that would tell you for Color Gameboy only. So for bootleggers why would you spend the money on a new mold that serves no purpose unless you are trying to look legit.
