I bought a DC today

    Cant wait have not had them for years they had them here in the uk but stoped a lot of years ago cant remmber why they took them off the shelf.

    Sorry don't have any quick fix guides or information on how to fix that problem.
    If you can install a new motor or laser in replacement of the old one.

    so i bought that dreamcast last week and it didnt work. so i got dead set on getting one that works. i now have a stack of 4 DCs. all 4 are different manufacture dates and only one works. i cant get it to play backups though. i think it might be one that doesnt allow it.


    I'm looking forward to putting this in my 1999 DC. should be fun :D

    Nine times out of then this means you've done something wrong or just need to tweak the laser pot. I think someone mentioned here recently that it's only a couple of the limited edition Dreamcasts that actually have the newer BIOS.

    Yes a handful of the odd Special Edition DCs and I want to say the R7 Dreamcast but I can't begin to confirm that. Supposedly there are a small number of DCs in the wild that won't boot mil-CD games but the chances of finding one like this are small.
