A month ago I bought a Sega CD from USA. The seller said me it worked last time he used it  (lier).
When I realised it didn't work I opened it and saw that two components were missed: F301 (fuse) and D301 (diode), both together, and the area when they must be were burned.

This was the board when I received, after some little fixes: cleaned burned areas, removed some tin, and soldered C308 capacitor, that was partially pull out (I also suspect is burned):

    Later, I fixed the fuse:

I have tried placing one diode in many positions: in R304+anode+F301 and cathode in the little metal point (in other side), R304+cathode+F301 and anode in the little metal point...etc. But in any form works.

I've looking for the Service Manual of this board but I've found very similar board schematics (not the same). For example, the shown in this thread:
    http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/sega-service-manuals.44343/
For example, in this manuals are listed some capacitors I don't have (C920) and aren't shown capacitors I have (C307, C308).

I don't know if my Sega CD doesn't works because I'm placing badly the diode or if there are more component damaged (probably near capacitors). In this last worst case, I would need
inevitably the specific Service Manual of this board.

    Can you help me, please?

I got it! I could fix the Sega CD main board:

Firstly, I repaired the fuse (week ago), installing a fuse holder. This is the backside. The wire that is "at the north" is for the diode:

This is the front side of the board, and you can see the fuse holder. The fuse supports 2.5A. When I do the photo, the diode wasn't installed:

I should install the diode in other traces because of the destruction of the original traces. I install it like this. The diode is a 1N4007:

Now, the problem is that the CD reader doesn't spin. I have checked motors and they work. I've read in other threads the problem must be the laser reader. I will try tunning the potentiometer. If it doesn't work, I'll buy a new laser.

    I've got the JVC Optima-6.

Hi, I have a broken Mega CD with the same board. It's got a sizeable burn mark near the same place as yours, but the only things that seem to be damaged are the (now replaced) fuse and the entirely missing c308 capacitor seen on your board (along with a couple of now bypassed traces). I'm really hoping replacing c308 would revive the system, but I can't find the value to replace it with. Did you happen to find the service manual for the board?

Here's a picture of the board. Hope it's okay to post links here?

Since I've been unsuccessful in finding the original value, I decided to finally just try bypassing the cap and repairing the trace without it. To my surprise, the system works perfectly now! I hope there wont be any ill effects to the cap being gone, though.

Finally, the Mega CD works! I was waiting two months for a new CD lens and when I install it it works perfectly. On the other hand, I suspect some capacitors are a little worn away.
