I didn't think hotels still had N64's

Sorry but why was this post necessary 20mins after the post assembler made...

 

Sorry bout that, I forgot to refresh and I didn't saw assembler's post.

 

Didn't greatsaintlouis work at a hotel that had these?

 

There's a little McD's near my old house that still has N64 units playable (in big wooden arcade-esque housings). I think the one has Mario Kart and the other some weird Disney Racing game.

Do you mean those Prepaid Internet N64 System where you have to type your Credit Card number or something for "pay&play"? I never used those things but there where some in a couple of Hotels in the US.

 

I don't know. I saw the ridiculous price and stopped there.

 

Looking at that pic, I see:
- A huge custom board plugged into the *cart slot* of an N64 mobo
- A big bank of RAM on one side, just like the Z64 etc etc
- An Altera Flex FPGA (big custom chip thingy)
- RJ45 plug on the side - probably where the controller gets routed to.

Where's the mystery? :shrug:
