I finally got some of my music into a game.

My good friend has been working on this game all year, and I was super excited when he asked me to do the music for it. It wasn't as easy as I had thought, seeings how this is the first game I have ever tried to write music for, but it payed off. Were hoping to have it out before the end of the year. It has to pass peer review and all that. Then straight to XBLIG. Let me know what you guys think.

Damn this looks like a very high quality shooter, and the music you composed really goes well with the intense action on screen. I would imagine it's an indie game but if it gets enough buzz might get arcade treatment. Anyone show interest in this project yet? And I would say financially good idea to also port it to pc for steam release.

We're going the XBLIG rout. Then shortly after that Steam Greenlight.

The song in the trailer wont actually be in the game, but it is akin to the OST. We're planning on making an arranged soundtrack and putting it up on bandcamp once the game is released.

I think were going to have a hard time actually getting attention though. We could use as much help getting the word out as possible once the game is available. I think a couple free "Review" codes might be in order XD

Thats great! Has a commodorish vibe to it and i like the mix of synth instruments and more acoustic sounding drums. That is in my style of game and music.

great music, game looks a bit visually unbalanced with collision detection and the size of the sprites but i get the whole cartoonish style / vibe

 

There is a lot to the game. Some new mechanics that I've never seen in a shmup. You guys will see

Its been almost a year since the game came out on XBLIG and has since been a serious hit in the SHMUPS scene. We've added a TON to game since its original release. Another playable character, more levels/bosses, A DRAGON! and its finally out of PC!!!! I am so happy right now.
