Yeah, $100 sounds like the guy is lowballing you for sure. If it's only that much I'd Ebay it, probably get more.

My family came across an old, etched and gold-inked, title of nobility that grants lands and whatnot - a huge, full colour 18th century (I think 18th, or early 19th century) document with artfully crafted capitular letters.

I have no idea where to auction or even value it, though some people have said that it's highly valuable for certain.

For $100 just frame it and put it in your wall: its a document from a friggin' president!

Chicks dig that shit!............oh wait they dont...

Anyways, they're ripping you off, don't sell.

Instead of the value of the signature, what about the value of the land? If you have a deed for it, is it still valid?

Always get a second opinion regarding the value of supposedly rare items.

I know of the value of some things I've seen on Pawn Stars.

That bald guy is painted as a shady fellow, for certain.

    Have your document valued elsewhere.

your never gonna get full price at a pawn shop 75% if your lucky
the gold and silver pawn shop is one of the most reputiable pawn shows there is pawn shops are the brick and morter equlivaliants to ebay
except ebay doesn't give loans lol

there are a few factors to consider like how long an item will sit in the shop
and the commission of the person that sells the item so 40-60% are rather fair offers

even if someone took a presidential document to an auction you still gotta pay a listing fee and an auctioneering fee witch can itself total almost 50% mid 40's

the land itself is more valuable then the document itself

again autopens and secretary signed documents are rather worthless
