This is just pissing me off. Ordered a psp slim, ff7cc and some stuff last week. Package went out via EMS on friday, and departed HK early saturday morning. Here it is 2am on wendsday and there is still no update on the tracking. I've called canada post and even ask if maybe they know it's in customs and they said no it would not be. Yet that makes absolutely no sense because the plane is not just flying around in circles since then. :| I know I might be a little jumpy about this but last time I had something sent EMS from HK a year ago, the package end up being lost and finaly showed up 1 month later (luckly I was able to get $100 out of the bastards, wether it was hk post or can post that paid i dont know). I've had zero problems with EMS in the past prior to thies two insidence and even all my EMS stuff from japan was top notch (in 3 days). Yet I can't get why this is happening yet again. I probably should have shipped DHL but personaly, I really dispise DHLs service (i'm a fan of purolator but they only sometimes get EMS shipments when there is no customs fees). Uggg. I just need to vent. I hate when i have a $300 order out there with no clue where it's stuck when I fork out $40+ for 3-4 shipping. OH: OH:
Was it even by express ? EMS = Express Mail Shipping. I personaly don't get why I have so much trouble with EMS service where I can get games from HK via airmail in 1-1.5 weeks (i so love getting them in 1 week near xmas time). Oddly it ususaly takes 2-3 weeks to get stuff via airmail from the usa.
I have had a number of dealings with Canada Post in the last 2 years and they've all been messed up in one way or another. I was sent an EMS parcel and it took 2 months to turn up. Other shipments have had their customs slips filled incorrectly and I've had to pay excess. Now, I don't know whether this is particular to Canada Post or not, but I also paid postage & packaging from Canada to the UK, but once a particular parcel arrived in the UK I was contacted by customs to pay a HUGE excess as the item was not exempt from duties. I paid, it was duly delivered and the Canada Post details were wrong! I thought the sender must be an ass, but someone had over written in different handwriting new details over the top. They'd clearly opened the parcel to check what it was and actually were wrong! It took months to claim the money back. These days I simply don't bother trading with anyone in Canada for anything larger than a DVD or CD. It's not worth the hassle.
Canadian post are last. Simple as that :nod: Greece is another country with poor post. I won't sent stuff there unless it goes insured post. Yakumo
Uggg, I'm still pist off about this. There is still no update on my package. I am just going to email the import shop tonight to have hong kong post start a inquiry into where my package is. This is taking way too long for an express package. I mean atleast it could give a damn notice that it is in canada and sitting in customs. Then atleast when I inquire into it fingers can be placed at customs and they can go hound their ass about it. With out that HK post & canada post will just go back and forth with canada post sitting around with it's finger up it's ass with no clue.
Ugg finaly My package was released from customs and en route to sorting. So I should have it tomorrow when I get home from work (probably got some massive customs fees to go pay).
My postman is a moron I keep Not getting my mail and getting other people's mail. It's not just Canada even though Canada sucks with it's piss water beer and universal healthcare.
Did you get whacked for Tax? I can't imagine anyone stupid enough in Canada to think even a used PSP would be worth < $20. I also wouldn't think anyone in the states would be dumb enough to vote for Bush, but...

Anything I get shipped standard from japan or hong kong comes within a week exact. However as far as buying stuff from canada, jesus christ it's fucking slow. I remember I bought a sega cd from some member of sega xtreme who was from canada. That took about a month to arrive. Then I ordered The Simpson's season1 dvd when it came out(since it was the cheapest) from a Canadian site and that took a month and half. I mean honestly why is it that Canada has such a slow/sloppy postal system? Also I never knew that Canadian post doesn't use a standard vehicle? (or was that sarcasm opethfan?).

$20ish. Over all not too bad. I actualy set customs at $150 and insured it for that amount in case some defect is in the slim psp. I don't care to worrie about damage to UMD games or a cloth case. --edit-- at time of posting, i don't have my package yet. It's just I know the customs value since my door man at my apt called me to see if I was home to pick it up.
