OK guys, I got something quite nice a few weeks ago, problem is, a certain person (I know you gonna read this) glued 2 plastic parts on it together. Using superglue. Total no-no :fresh: Now, as I like my stuff to be in good shape plus there are other ways to keep this part in position without ruining it I want to get that sh** off of it. I can't use superglue Remover though, as it eats nice little holes in the plastic once it got in contact with it, you know like it directly eats away a little plastic and leaves marks. I tried putting it in warm water with soap for about 48 hours and tried to clean it off, didn't work at all. Now I just put it in the freezer, hoping the super glue will get brittle and chip off. The only other thing I have in mind right now is going totally nuts and seriously boiling it in water (afaik the average superglue melts between 80-120 °C), although I would have to test this on another part of the same plastic before to see if the plastic survives it. Any other Ideas on how to get it off without leaving any marks, if possible? It's actually quite a lot of superglue, not a thick layer, but a stripe like 15*0.5 cm. Remember Kids: Never, EVER use darn superglue on something you simply can't replace unless you're very lucky and got lots of $$$ to spend to get a replacement. EDIT: The parts aren't together anymore, I asked for them to be taken apart before shipping, but well, teh superglue is still on.
