It's been ages since I've played Wipeout 3 Special Edition. Since my PSX is in the process of dying - and I really would like something new, I have a craving for a newer futuristic racer. I have a PC, a PS2 and a Dreamcast. While I can go play F-Zero AX at an arcade in my city - I was wondering if any of you guys knows of a cool futuristic racing game for any of these platforms that might satisfy my craving.
I know you didn't list this among your systems, but I'm just a random kind of guy, so I'll say it anyway. I remember really liking the first Extreme G for N64. I thought it was damned solid. I put hours into that game, sold it long ago though, probably shouldn't have.
Yup, played all 3 wipeout PSX games. Didn't precisely like Wipeout Fusion on PS2, either. Is it me, or is this decade REALLY short in Futuristic racers?
What happened to Wipeout 2? I thought it was just incredibly rare, now I know it doesn't exist :smt043 . I knew I should've picked up 2097 when I had the chance. I thought it was just different CD art...
They are rebooting MegaRace and the original Lance Boyle is confirmed to be returning! (Actor, Christian Erickson) Here is a link to a discussion on it here: http://www.assemblergames.com/forum...-Zoom-Project-are-releasing-a-MEGARACE-reboot
Star Wars Episode I Racer is a really good game, you compete in races, buy more parts for your ships from junk and end up with some pretty fast machines. As far as racing on the N64 goes this is probably one of the best, especially with the Expansion Pack. It's also available on Dreamcast and PC too.
