You saying you would like to be able to see your flash from neighborhood? If that is what you are asking then run this "Internal Drive Linker" restart console and you should see your flash in neighborhood :).

You have to restart both the kit and Xbox Neighborhood for the linker app to work. Then flash is available through neighborhood. You can write, delete copy files as need be.

What is it you're trying to do?

    Edit what exactly?

I have a shadow boot file for 17489, and I can't run it on a test kit, so I got my hands on an edited xbdm that will allow me to run kdnet and boot from the shadow boot..

What's all this talk of shadow booting? I've been given one before, isn't it just loading the system files from the ahrd drive instead of system itself?

It actually patches the console on boot to allow certain things an XDK couldn't normally do. For example playing retail discs is the main one most want it for. MOST of the time the only real reason for a shadowboot image nowadays is to get a kit on xbox live...

Also for the OP. I think I understand what you are trying to do now... However I do not think you will be able to kernel debug with a test kit even with modified files. This is just my understanding and I could be completely wrong. If it is possible it is not public knowledge sadly. Is your slim a final or a proto? Cause if its a final maybe getting a sidecar would help the situation...

Shadowboot only patches for retail if you modified a couple of things, You don't even need shadow boot for that afaik but it's just an easier/safer way to run the modded NAND.

Remove the rom.bin? Just use Party Buffalo.

You just place the "xboxromw2d.bin" in the root of the HDD iirc, As to how to make one then IDK but there is enough info online to build one if you have the know how.
(Only one I have is a Xellous for XDK so if anyone feels like sharing the retail loading one.....)

I was not aware of shadowboot files for testkits? Also I am having trouble finding information on how to create a shadowboot file, google just returns vague answers that don't really help. Is there any direction I could be pointed in?

The Xellous one is public but give me a sec.

I really don't feel like crawling through the xX|l33thaX0rz|Xx posts again to try and find info on it but iirc there should be some info here on assembler in this very section just on a really old post.
