OK so here are the facts and what I have accomplished... XBOX ver 1.0 Soft modded I am trying to install a bigger aftermarket HDD...here is what I have done... Boot with original XBOX HDD (Soft Mod) and load up Slayers Evox 2.7 FINAL.... then swap HDD to my new bigger HDD Then I use Slayers Evox 2.7 FINAL it to make a new HDD from scratch, then I installed all apps ect ect (all using Slayers Evox 2.7 FINAL) When I boot to the HDD I made using Slayers Evox 2.7 FINAL.... I get a MS error screen. I think the HDD is good to go and my problem is with a TSOP flash needing to be done. I have come across something about soldering a jumper before you do this. Slayers Evox 2.7 FINAL has a option for a TOSP flash, but it has BIG WARNINGS about killing your xbox so I have not attempted until I can find out exactly what I need to do. Thanks all. I will be away for the week starting tomorrow (Sun) .. so if you do not hear beck from me...I will check in next weekend.
Did you not have any success cloning the hard drive with Chimp? Also are you sure the bigger hard drive is lockable?
The bigger HDD is Lockable 100% I did have sucess cloning with chimp, however, it does just that CLONE The new HDD keeps the same partition sizes as the stock one (cloned). F drive shows ZERO space (as original HDD that this drive was cloned from does not have a F Every time I try to repartition one of the cloned HDDs....The XBOX will not boot with it anymore.
Not tell us what error won't help. TSOP warning is only if the flash turns out bad... You have a 1MB TSOP so really any BIOS other than X3 will be able to be used.
If you use UnleashX, it can easily be done in the file browser. It should automatically fill up the rest of the drive with "F:". If you have a backup of your EEPROM, I would suggest using XBOXHDM (1.9? I like the LDOTS version, even though I was trying to help make an updated version). This will even un/lock your drive. Awesome to have as a spare tool for HDD's. EDIT: As the Xbox doesn't have an actual partition table (this can be changed if the box is chiped), don't change the stock partitions... If you do, it will cause most BIOSes (even softmod) to panic as a partition isn't where it's supposed and assumed to be!
