It happens to the best of us. Veteren gamers we pick up a game.......and have no idea what the hell we're doing. Happend to me 3 times this week. Shadow of the colosuss where I kept going where my sword was pointing only to either go in Circles or hit dead ends. Then I got Hokoto No ken, The Fighter again....no idea what I was doing but eventually I got the hang of it. Manged to pull off at least one sweet Fatal KO I'm starting to get the Combo thing down. Now all it needs is Kenshiro making heads explode and it's perfect. AAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNND Arcana Heart which is probably a fighting game analogy to saturn development....IE Over complicated. Like I have no idea what the hell I'm doing half the time. So how about you guys.....when have you had what the hell am I doing moments and what games?
I almost 1CC'd Saturn mode in Hyper Duel this morning... but then I completely forgot how to handle the final boss (who is a beast even when you know what to do) and he wiped out all 3 of my lives. *sigh* Made it with 3 lives and threw them all away. :crying: I've put up better fights with only 1 life in stock.
Yea me too, get yourself back on AIM and try stealing some dudes girl :110:. It's more entertaining that way .
The Fact I was having Trouble with Lolicon Fighter X (my name for Arcana Heart) isn't interesting enough?
It's really not that complicated once you realize you have a small amount of moves. It is a "special moves" whore fest. A very good one though. I got to the last fight in story mode and it froze on me. That was a bit of a buzz kill.
I'm getting the hang of Arcana Heart now. Now that I know what I'm doing it's fantastic. Kinda like a throw back to those Mid 90s fighters that didn't rely on 50000 hit combos and 6 second fights.
Let me guess. The first underwater Colossus? Those damn lightless canyons.OH: I ran all over those canyons and kept getting confused, only to find out its really easy to get to that spot now.
There has been many times that I have thrown my control to the dirt (the carpet) and shouted "WTF DO YOU WANT ME TO DO, YOU STUPID POS!" to Japanese RPGs, tearing my hair out. Especially Suikoden, the first game in the series. That got me mad like a lion. I don't need hand holding, but throw me a frigging bone here Japanese RPG makers. I rarely play RPGs any more, so my anger has subsided until this thread was created.
I think i had a moment like that in Castlevania for GBA (i dont even remember which one). I had a huge area of the map uncovered but i couldnt seem to get anywhere anymore. After walking around trying to figure out what the f**k to do i gave up after 2 or 3 boring weeks. I dont even remember where i put the cart.
