I got an invitation to the Partnership program for a video of me bitching about Mega Man Legends 3's cancellation for 8 seconds. It has the game over piece from Legends 1, bitch text, and a BG picture of Mega Man with a frown face. Exact video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5p8473idho I'm concerned about monetizing the video because I have a ton of videos that consist of video game runs, music mashups, game beta videos, etc and a game documentary on the way. Does YouTube specifically check your entire account and record for copyrighted stuff before they decide to let me monetize my MML3 video? Here's a list of Content ID matches that YouTube detected: What would happen if they decline me? I just don't want to risk losing my channel. It's like my internet sanctuary full of one-of-a-kind videos and shit.
I got invited to enable revenue sharing on some of my videos, one of them is a tutorial of how to update the Xbox 360 Dashboard with a USB memory stick / CD, the other is a tour of the then new NXE dashboard. I got declined because "portions of my video contained footage of copyrighted software" aka the Xbox 360 dashboard... Gaming is defiantly a grey area on YouTube, apparently if you get warned for copyright impingement three times your channel gets deleted without any warning. By my count i've been warned twice (although there is no way to check i don't think?) so i really don't want to try anything else and risk getting deleted. Channel Views:25,825 Total Upload Views:8,660,368 Subscribers:1,254 Only about 800,000'ish views are of totally original content created by me though, when i first joined YouTube many years ago i uploaded a video of my favorite comedian, forgot about YouTube and that video has since got over 7 million views and not a single copyright notice against it...
Nah, it gives you the option to choose which ones you want to put ads on. So obviously you would only want to monetize those which you own all the rights too. Also if you're really worried about it, make another account and move the videos with copyrighted material to that one.
I've come to the realization that their selection process for videos is 100% random bullshit. Half an hour after I'd uploaded a short 20 second video of me testing my car wheel bearings, they suggested it for adsense.
im not 100% sure on how to do it myself as im NOT a partner but johnny paula the guy who runs " is it a good idea to microwave this " mentioned the ability to partner other channels on his twitter other wise i think this might be of use to you its alot of searching and reading though its the " Partner Help Center " https://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/topic.py?topic=12632
No. Partners can only make other production company members and themselves members. That's why Jory Caron and Riley McIlwain the two people who worked on the microwave show with him have partner channels. Jory and Riley both use the ideoProductions end slate and now use the Jogwheel Productions end slate. Typically someone running a real company (Which Jogwheel is) wouldn't bill somebody as being part of their company if they weren't.
retrowaretv has the power to partner other channels also so dose blistared thumbs thats how rinrygamegame got partner was blistered thumbs
I am getting the impression being invited to the Youtube partner program is kinda random. Why? Well, I just received an invitation. I mostly upload short crazy videos which I want to show to my family members, I just have a hand full of subscribers, mostly other family members.
I've been trying to partner with Rinry for a long ass time.... as in have her do some shit for my show.
You know what's funny, they just gave me a partnership on my gaming channel also, even though most of the videos have less than 200 views, and it only has like 39 subscribers. Which is here, if you haven't seen it: http://www.youtube.com/user/UCDvideos So yeah, I don't know.
It's nice to see someone providing their informed and considered opinion on real issues- rather than some twat crying she can't hug every cat. Nice one dude.
Oh, it was fake? Well, it's pretty much the norm for most people to be that thick anyway. Just take a walk through an English high street, lol. You get what I meant anyway.
i got one to its not a huge partnership but i get ads and get paid via google adsesnse started about 4 months ago only had about 120 subs at the time, didnt apply or anything youtube just emailed me and asked if i wanted to for one video then a few weeks later changed it to all my vids
