I just got Gokujou Parodius! Man this game rules!

I just got Gokujou Parodius! in the mail and I gotta say this is my new favorite game! I don't understand why it never made it's way to North America. Kids would be obsessed with this game for sure. The graphics, power ups, bosses..... everything is so awesome about Gokujou Parodius! Maybe I'll have to check out the other Parodius games.

Yeah, Parodius is an awesome series. It's a hilarious PAROdy of GraDIUS, but it's also a great shmup on its own. I pop it in my PCE all the time. My buddy has the famicom version too. Even Paro Wars is deep for what it is.

 

Good game, but my favorite in the franchise is Jikkoyu Oshaberi Parodius (Saturn version).

 

The SNES version did actually get a release in europe The best versions are for the Saturn though. Oshaberi Parodius is great plus there's also Sexy Parodius and Gokujou Parodius-Da! Deluxe Pack wich contains Parodius and Gokujou Parodius or better know as Parodius 2 in English.

 

Man that's awesome. I'm really digging this series very much!

 

I like the series too! I played the SNES one but only own the Famicom game.
