Its a Jasper dev kit, yeah Jasper. I got it all for $50 and just have 1 question, can I use a retail 203wat power supply? Im having the greatest deal of trouble getting the wiring done D: Didnt come all hooked up, didnt come with dvd drive, or original casing. Ive anyone has a dead HDMI Dev kit, PLEASE let me know I am intrested in buying the casing for the Xbox itself and the casing for the Sidecar as the Sidecar doesnt have the casing. Does anyone know where I can get the newest dash for this? I would like to test if it can connect to partners net. 1 more thing, can I use the retail housing? Im having a hard time getting the sidecar to stay in place :/
google will help you alot with them also the tear down guide in the 360 topic. i got a case from a old dead hdmi kit if you want it, recoveries il just say use google and to test pnet you press X on the xdk launcher then select xbox live configuration(something like that) then test partnernet connection
Im already using your tear down guide <3 Thanks for you time man, im also using DOOM's color code for all the debug and dvd emulation wires. It wasnt shipped assembled. I need to know though, does a 203watt power supply work on a jasper dev kit with the sidecar... if it doesnt im screwed.
203w wont work... need a 213w if your in uk ask Dano2k0 or u could mod a pc power brick to work with the 360
wow..sounds like a good deal, even in this condition, yeah u can use a retail case but well you need a sidecar case, good that shox has one. As for the DVD you can just use a retail one, Devkits dont care about DVD keys for Xenons you'd need a 213 watts supply, the 10 extra watts are used or the Sidecar, but as the Jasper only needs 150 W for the kit itself, a 203 Watts PSU should work (correct me if I am wrong). Before you go on Pnet, a few rules: 1.get a Nand Dump (use HVXDump) 2.remove the R6T3 3.think about it, if you really need it or if you can live without, if you decide that you need to go on Pnet: 4.do never ever leak anything, dont even think about it!
Thanks for all the info, you guys are much more help then the guys at Se7ensins, they are stingy and frown upon people with devs for their first time and dont help at all, other then a few generous people. Yeah, someone on se7ensins did tell me I need a 213watt no matter what and if thats the case, how can I boot the dev up without unpluging everything?? Once again, thank you guys soo much!
unplug the Sidecar and it does work with a 203 watts for 100% sure (thats the way I did it before having a Sidecar and a 213 watts PSU, still you can just try a 203 watts one with the sidecar, it wont blow your Kit up )
i the ampage of the psu if i remember right, that makes u need the 213w, im not suprised u didnt get any help on se7's its just full of kids that dont know any thing...
Yeah, I just checked, a Dev PSU has 3 A on 5 volts while a retail 203 watts PSU only has 1 A on 50 volts, so you will need a 213 watts PSU, as sneaky pointed out, wither mod a PC PSU or contact Dano2k0 ( http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29584 )
Im skeptical about buying on this site, dont I have to pay a fee? :/ I think I might just order one on newegg, I have pretty advance soldering skills. How much do you guys think this thing is work as it is? I plan on getting all offical stuff soon or later, Sidecar housing, and Xbox housing for the dev kit, other then that it boots up fine. Allthough I cant connect to XBL when doing the test on dashboard, is it because its on the 8955 dash? I need a newer dash! I want to use usb drive lol.
Just verifying random stuff. Okay, I have a power supply for a jasper and it will boot it with the sidecart plugged in. The eject light blinks and the dvd drive is unresponsive., but with the sidcart stuff plugged in with a 203watt power supply the power supply light just goes red.
take some pictures of the board...... also learn to read.... you dont have to pay for buying from here only for selling dev stuff. it should still connect on 8955, pnet dont care about dash version that much unlike live
Its probably just a problem with the bridge I dont have a wireless adapter. Ill post the pictures that I can, I wont have much access to it for about 4-7 days have family over. Give me a second ill get a copy of whats on my facebook to show off to my nerdy friends.
Has the 1st gen gpu heatsink, and the CPU the second gen. Its a jasper-kronos to be exact. Very small capasitors!
Sweet! What exactly makes it a prototype? I have a retail with the same heatsink setup, I did some research one day and found out they called it a jasper-kronos.
and a test kit sidecar.. you should stop double posting your piss the mods off... the headers by the gpu gave it away for me
