Like the title says, I just got a CDX and I'm wondering about mods. I've heard that the sound is a bit lacking, especially in the bass department and was thinking of doing a mod like the mega amp. Is that something I should consider or will it not be a big enough difference to make it worth while? Are there any other mods that might be worth looking into?
The cdx is not rare enough to where you should be worried if you mod it or not. If you plan on using the console then I'd say have at it.
I guess I should clarify. I'm not afiraid of breaking the CDX, I'm just wondering if hardware mods are worth the effort, specifically the mega amp - or a general discussion of the value of modding the CDX.
I'm currently in the process of modding a Multi Mega to have a region free BIOS with all three bootscreens, switchless of course. It's all working but I can't find the asian/japanese 2.21 BIOS anywhere, beause either the links are down or it isn't region free. The mega cd region free pack also doesn't contain it. So at the moment I'm stuck with PAL 2.21, USA 2.21 and JPN 2.11 (Aiwa). Can anybody help me out?
