i m still pissed off at Adult Swim for cutting Crayon Shin-Chan, although i loved 'ass-dance' in that show, they censored the 'elephant'
I initially ignored the series, probably because I couldn't get past the color palette, but gave it a chance when it was rerun on Adult Swim. Really good stuff, shame the series was axed so soon by the WB.
Oh my god, I thought no one would ever mention this show... I love it, plain and simple. I signed an online petition to continue making more episodes and received an email from the creators thanking me. Ah yes, the very first episode I saw was the one where Kevin had the nude magazine and went into the bathroom... That was so hilarious, oh man. But yeah, I found an interesting torrent a little over a year ago and got all episodes. Good stuff.
Hahahaha, this was one of my favorite shows that aired on Adult Swim. Havent seen it for awhile though... :crying:
The series was originally made in 1999 and intended to be stand-alone. Apparently it ran for two episodes and got cancelled. The episodes that had been made were purchased for Adult Swim, but no more were made. There's also an animatic for the unmade 16th episode out there, which is pretty interesting to see. Funny stuff. Thanks for that ;-) Oh, and the music is by Cake, yay!
Such an awesome show! It died on the WB. There was suppose to be two more episodes but they weren't ever animated. Achievement points for anyone that can find me the old episodes of Downtown though!
The show was pretty good and kinda poked fun at the life style of San Fransisco. Still it was pretty funny(it should be when it was created by two of the simpsons top writers). My favorite episode was when they poked fun at the real world, they nailed it so perfectly. It's too bad those remaining scripts never got produced. I heard the biggest hurdle of reproducing the show would be the cost of animating the style it used.
