    That is beyond "t3h c00ln355".

Maybe they'll make an enhanced eye, it's the one thing I really need (my contact perscription is -10.5 and getting worse, and I'm only 17!).

Oh, and a cure for cancer would be nice, because my family has a bad track record for cancer :smt067 .

Feels like I'm making a Christmas list :smt023

    Edit: I'm 17, my birthday was the 20th :smt033

:smt1069 boy, -10.5 that's higher (or should I say lower) than what I've ever heard before! I thought my -3 was pretty bad...

  4. -3.75 right, -4.25 left were bad enough, I couldn't imagine -10.5!! Is it hard to get contacts for that prescription, Taemos?

I think laser correction goes from -16 to +10, so hurry up :p

From what my optometrist told me, the brand I'm wearing now (I think they're Acuvue 2) is the only brand that goes up that far (or that low, whatever). There are contacts made for perscriptions down to -20, and then I'm out of luck :smt067 .

It was an even bigger bitch to get glasses. My last pair was $300, although we took advantage of a local sale that allows you to buy two pairs for $100. Because of my perscription, they ended up at $175, but that's still not too bad (especially for two pairs).

I'm not old enough yet. You have to be at least 18 here I believe, and even then my doctor recommended that I wait until I was 21 (basically until my eyesight stops degrading so much).

well you could lose your eye sight before it stops degrading

They should stop, because they've slowed down quite a bit.

  11. The basic thing the laser surgery places are thinking of when they tell you to wait until you're 18-21 is not for your eyes to stop degrading (because they could conceivably continue to do that for the rest of your life) but for your eyes to stop growing/developing, and between 18 and 21 seems to be the magic age for that sort of thing. They can't go and perform such an expensive and delicate surgery only to have your eyes screwed up beyond repair 6 months later on account of they're still growing. :smt009
