So they failed to send me a *free* beta/trial disc for a game I would never bother with anyway, and so give me 12 months LiVE service, free, instead. ^_^ Sounds good to me. I'm worried about LiVE though; will it live on after XBOX 2?
Not much...No war crap/FPS'....OutRun 2, DOAU, CVS2, SGT Online, NHL 2K5, Crimson Skies, Mech Assault. As someone mentioned elsewhere though .. at least Ps2 online gamers stay loyal to the games they do play online. XBOX LiVe gamers are as fickle as teenage girls ... once the next big title comes along, they all swim away from the other titles like a school of fish. Halo 2 really killed off other online games' populations.
Live will definately live on after Xbox 2. It's what MS is building their console foundations on; no way will they just end it. I'm sure MS is savvy enough to realize that people will want to keep their old accounts and stuff--it will only get better! And most of the PS2 online players are on Socom 1/2, so it really isn't much different.
I do! And speaking about Live and Xbox 2, Microsoft is also planning to expand the service to pc, so you could actually play online under one single account, on three different platforms. I highly doub a lot of pc-gamers will want to pay money to play online though.
OutRun 2 sold poorly in North America. Hence it's only $14.95 CAD here at some sotres and $20 CAD max. Anyone who liked the original OutRun or SEGAgames /arcade racers in general should pick it up.
I've got Outrun2, but since my Mac mini came I've shunted the TV into another room and packed the xbox into a box - I'll pick up an adaptor for my Mac to use video inputs for £250 but It's gonna tak e me a couple of weeks to save up
I got it for £20, its worth that - its not a £40 (full price) game to me, but well worth a quick buy, as its good fun
I paid full RRP and was well glad to have had the chance to do so. Last game after all in North America that will ever have the AM2 Logo and to me well worth full price (though at full price I don't beelive it was ever 40 pound in UK)
