Besides the poor design for the UMD disc and short battery life, the way the PSP is looking is quite good. With close to PS2 graphics and a better idea of the upcoming titles then we had at E3, the PSP is looking quite good right now. Now, if only Sony doesn't pull the same crap that they always have in the past and only make fewer systems then consumer demand...
Aye, iv'e got one imported ( I own a DS too!) and I think its great. As far as battery life I think people are overreacting.I play it often, and minimum on RIdge Racers iv'e had is like 3.5 hours with full brightness and full volume (which is pretty darn loud for a handheld IMO). I just make sure and plug it in when i'm not using it, and it hasn't really been a problem. I dont have a lot of oppurtunity to play a game for 3+ hours anyway on the go. I like both but the PSP is easily better than the DS as far as technology and 'coolness'. The screen is huge, and quite beutifull, and the resolution is great. Some of the tracks in Ridge Racers would be decent for a PS2 game, with cars having environment reflection, the sun reflecting off pavment, etc. quite nice. Can't wait to see what comes out for it! But I am also looking forward to some DS stuff. While it can do 'OK' 3D, it has the potential to be quite the 2D powerhouse. Can't wait to see how that new Castlevania looks in motion.
