I need help writing a storyline.

I am planning on making an RPG based on internet memes. The main plot is you have to help save the internet from an unknown force. Any help will be appreciated.

 

I'm doing a Mugen game with the exact same concept.

South Park did an episode of MEMES there's a whole you tube series on MEMES and you can find a list of them with a quick google search.

 

You could go the Neverending story route - where a big, all encompassing Meme (instead of "the Nothing" in this case) is destroying the internet.

You should have a character that speaks only in 733t, and you can get a translator to understand what he's saying. That would be funny.

Lolcats shoud be the bad guys.

Well some ideas are

There are people keeping order over the internet
Trolls are not the threat that is dealt with but they are fought
Anonymous is awakening the evil, and must be stopped(Penultimate [or pre-pen.] boss= Anonymous)
Ceiling Cat=Good
Basement Cat= Evil
I can haz cheezburger cat and keyboard cat= Neutral
Yes it will have that SMT aspect to it.
1337 will be used
Oh and there will be a land of computer viruses.

Thats all I got for now. Oh and I need help with music, I want it to be epic, despite it being the game it is. It will have some wierd shit that would be from an SMT, i.e what happens with Rick Astley (Spoilers).

 

Epic Beard man should play a mentor, Obi-wan Kenobi type role.

One of the bosses should be Linidas from 300, and make him attack with stupid gifs with his head all over them.

How about this: instead of being inside the internet, it's happening in real life. People all over the world are starting to talk only in memes, or even losing their identity and totally assuming the role of famous meme characters (whether they look the part or not). No one knows why.
Onto this comes an unlikely ragtag band of adventurers all of whom have extraordinary meme immunities (because of their latent psionic talents, cyborg brain implants, rare mutation, elven blood, or whatever). Can they find and stop the mastermind behind the aggressive memes before civilization collapses back to the Stone Age? PRESS START TO PLAY.

And, of course, your magician-type character has to attack with a double rainbow. What does it meeeeean?

And you should be able to summon Dramatic Chipmunk.

And you know, when you talk to cats in RPGs they regularly show a textbox that says "MEW!" or something like that? Obviously your game's cats should be LOLcats.

 

That would be too predictable, maybe include him as a super secret boss à la Culex

I'd make Rick Astley and Star Wars Kid playable characters, after you defeat them in battle of course, or at the least NPCs with something interesting to do with the plot.

You could make it like Anonymous in their battle with Xemu has unwittingly unleashed a computer virus that's wiping out the internet. Celing cat sends you, Star Wars Kid, Oolong the pancake rabbit, and WeeGee to go get the antivirus from Basement cat and his army of Lolcats. Along the way you have to get training from Epic Beard man, get the bucket for that "mah bucket' walrus, Save Creepy Chan from Pedobear, and brave the dark evil land of 4-Chan to get the magic three wolf shirt. During the final battle with Basement Cat you can summon the flying spaghetti monster.

There should be a town called "Geocities land" where everything is in bright, garish colors, animated gifs are all over the place, and really annoying midis are playing. This town should be hard to navigate and also be filled with the broken pic x's.

Funny thing is that anonymous and 4chan (which are pretty much the same thing) are the source of most memes.

The evil guys here would be the money grabbing corporations like icanhazcheeseburger which keeps stealing stuff and claim they created it, from Caturday to FAIL.

 

Well that gives me an idea. He starts out as one of the people sending you to fix the internet, but if you do certain quests you can fight him in a 2 form fight. Which will be towards the end of the game.

The final boss will be something that is never identified specificaly, it will just be called "The sleeping evil" or something like that. Also @ above (Shadowlayer) I plan on keeping an Anonymous battle in but may change that now. But I can has cheezburger cat, keyboard cat, ceiling cat and basment cat will retain their parts in the SMT aspect of it.

And another part, when you try to enter anything in there that IRL is 18+ you will be asked and even if you say yes the guard will say "Sure you are, now go back home." Saying no will have them block you obviously.

Also this is my first time trying something like this, so can anyone recomend any programs or hardware upgrades that I can get? Also it's on a Windows XP 64x Edition.
