What up folks, I was offered a youtube partnership on a video but had to decline because I used copyrighted music as an intro. I need a 20 - 30 second jingle, doesn't matter what it is, I don't even care what it sounds like. Can be funny, goofy, stupid, awesome, guitars, chiptunes, techno, death metal, conga drums, drunken yodeling over trash cans banged together with mating cats in the background, whatever - as long as it sounds somewhat decent and isn't totally lame. It just needs to be something I own so my videos won't get bumped or deleted. The deal is, I only retain rights to the song for use in youtube videos (and other online video sites.) You retain all other rights for ever and ever and ever. If I were to ever do something like make a DVD of my videos or something we would re-negotiate. Offering $100 for a jingle. If anyone needs a quick C-note write me a song. Edit: I am somewhat partial to funky music, but it really doesn't matter.
I have two, UCD videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/UCDvideos My other one (politics and crap) http://www.youtube.com/user/hawanja I would probably use it for the second channel.
I know you said you didn't care what it sounded like, but do you have any specific preference? It would make it easier to decide on what it should sound like.
I could probably write something for you. My style is alternative rock, usually on the softer side of things. I can do harder stuff too, though. I've actually written a lot of music, though I'm not sure if I'd want to sell you any of that. I think I'd rather write something new. Here's my Myspace music page: http://www.myspace.com/gardenvarietyarsonist That'll give you a general idea of what my music sounds like. I'm guessing for what you're doing with it you might want something like Deadly, Pavlov, or Feathered Noises. I could probably write something more funky sounding if you wanted, as well. Or what retro said.
Whose does??!? Not mine! $6 was actually private use, up to webisode at $24. I'd suggest seeing if there's a track you like on there. If there is, contact the company, tell them exactly what you want to do with it, how many videos you expect to make with it etc. (say it's like a 5 second intro tune or whatever). See what they come back with. There are, of course, other companies like that.
Thanks I'll check it out, but I'd still like some custom music, so if anyone wants to give it a shot my offer still stands. Just write something with some guitars and shit in it.
Lol, great brief Length? Have you seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall? This thread reminds me of the funky incidental music he played hehe ;-)
http://www.box.net/shared/p8yra4z2gk Is a small WIP I did last night. It's certainly not funk and I haven't recorded bass or properly mixed it yet.(and some of the guitars are off time here and there right now) but *shrug* I half did this because the Idea of it intrigued me.
Well, if you would agree to have a sex change and dress up a little nicer, ironically we wouldn't be in this situation. Even if your channel was about watching paint dry. (^_^);
Still butthurt over that? You've got plenty of copyrighted stuff on your channel. Even gameplay (under certain circumstances, not necessarily most of the stuff you have) can be too scary for YT to advertise on, and that's all they care about.
