Took a monitor to an op for repair (too lazy to fix it myself, plus....), my gal went with me, and after I carried the monitor in, I asked my usual Sooo, what's for sale in the back? We wander into the back, hundreds of games, I see a ded. Beast Busters Second Nightmare, ask how much, he says Twenty bucks. Exqueese me? Baking soda? SOLD! I ask about a Die Hard Arcade cab (hey, I might be in the minority but I like the cab, plus I had plans for this one) and he says Twenty bucks again. Damn. So I then ask about a few random big games, one being Desert Tank. Got one over here. Damn. Cut to a few days later (which at the time of this post would be two weeks ago), I get off work and I'm heading (my gal's with me) up to the op's place in my box truck (a perk of my job). I load up the Desert Tank, BBSN, DHA, and somehow, and I'm not even sure what happened, a Winding Heat (Konami racing game). Now, all the games have an issue here and there, but I don't care. The BBSN has no power supply and has a bad monitor (which I fixed today instead of taking a much needed nap). And it get amusing. I didn't have a place cleared out in the little house for these machines, so I figured wth and rented a storage shed for them for now. So drive the games to the shed, unload them (11pm), get home and get in bed (midnight), alarm goes off at 3:30am and I'm off for work. Ahh, the joy of temporary insanity brought on by a few deals on arcade machines. So I'm curious, the Desert Tank, what are the odds I can put a Daytona ROM board on it and be able to play it? Seems to have everything it'd need, well, 'cept for a brake pedal, but I can live w/o that. Anyone have a Daytona ROM board they'd want to part with? Cash or trade maybe? Even if there's some compatibility issue I'm unaware of, I'd still like to find a Daytona ROM board. The BBSN seems to have a somewhat oddball power supply, has two molex plugs off the power supply that need +5/G/+12, and one of the +12 lines is where the -5 would commonly be (if I remember correctly) on the typical deluxe arcade power supply (the self-contained ones with monitor power feed). Anyone have a Beast Busters Second Nightmare and wouldn't mind just telling me what make/brand the original power supply was? Mostly just curious. I'm going to snag a new one and alter it to fit the power supply need (remove -5, run additional +12 line to that spot). Op has a few other games I want, but I figure I'll pace myself for now, hah. If anyone has the Beast Busters Second Nightmare blue plastic gun covers lying around I'd be interested in buying them.
