I spotted a Gameroom Classics Neo Geo mini cab on craigslist a few months ago, the lady wanted 200 for it. A few months later I offered less, got it for 125 bucks after driving a few hours to pick it up.

Got it Friday, modding it today (Sunday). Sticking an arcade power supply in it and a single slov MVS pcb with a 100-in-1 cart.

A pretty neat little thing, maybe I'll get lucky and come across the Tatio version. I've read about a Capcom version, did this ever actually come out though?

Anyone ever have any luck with the SD card, copying and swapping out the archived SD card game data and having it work?

Just got it finished, fired it up, success, yay!

Wow. Didn't know those were legit. Thought they were just pirate carts. :)

    Very cool.

Why do you think these carts are legit? eBay cares shit about all the sellers, but they're far from legal. Nice thing to have though, I'd go for one if I saw it cheap

Very nice cabinet btw! And 125$ is a bargain, congratulations! What size is the monitor? 21 inch?

It's a somewhat dinky 14" tube, a good picture on it but it won't adjust as well as I'd like, I can't get rid of a 1" gap at the bottom or on the right, but I can live with that.

I've got about 50 original MVS carts, well, 30 I can find and 20 I can't, misplaced them in the move I guess. A ton of the games on the Neo 100-in-1 cart are hacks, Like Capcom Vs SNK Plus, and crap like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon which is just a hacked up version of different pieces of SNK fighting games thrown into a bootleg game. The Neo multi cart is currently up to 138, if I remember right, easily a 1/3 of that (a pure blind guess) is composed of hacked versions of games. Probably old news to the hip.

I had thought of putting a cart slot out of the back of it for swapping MVS games, but, well, I had that multi cart lying around so I figured why cut up the cab.

I wish the Tatio cabs on ebay were cheaper, the one w/o the pcb would be cool to do just this sort of mod to, or MAME it up. As of this post there are 4 Taito Gameroom Classics on ebay, the working complete one has a 340 buck price tag, gah.
