This has happened many, MANY times to before, and I simply said it was only a coincidence. I think it has happened far too many times to be considered coincidence, now, though.

Anyways, I somehow have the uncanny ability to think of a joke played on a certain TV show, like today I was thinking of the "Dick Army and Vagina Coast Guard" joke from Family Guy about 4 or so hours ago, and just 15 minutes or so ago, that SAME EXACT EPISODE was playing and I caught it.

This has happened to me so many times its not even funny. I'll think of a joke on TV, and it will appear on TV that night.

Either I am psychic or I can pick up TV waves in my head.

Anyone else have any odd supernatural stories?

It could be true. I have an "illness" that I had "treatment" for a few years back. Almost every night I dream which may not sound odd. The odd thing is that over half of these dreams come true in either a day or two. This used to freek me out when I was younger but these days I can live with it. My dad would say that his dad's dad (my great grandfather) would insist that he had lived a life before the one he was living at that time. I wonder if all this reincarnation stuff is true?

It's hilarious to think that you might be able to pick up TV waves (RF) in your head, filter all the crud out (thousands of pieces of information) and focus simply on jokes! That is quite some X-Man superpower! It would definately ruin any trip to Comedy Central - save your money, sit at home and concentrate....real hard!

I think it says more about just how frequently TV Channels these days dish out repeats - no, that's not ESP or Deja-Vu, it's actually repeated programmes - like the endless loop of "Lost" on Sky TV & Channel 4 in the UK.

What you are describing, i.e. the ability to allegedly foresee up coming events (precognition), is extremelly common.

There can't be a single person on the boards that hasn't had some experience of it (or alledge to know someone who has), even if simply thinking about someone and them calling that day. Some suggest that this is an effect of ESP, others just think it's complete nonsense, or as you suggest completely coincidental. Until science catches up with the inner workings of the brain, I guess it's up for reasoned debate.

Just how you go about using your Super-power is also up for debate. Become a TV exec involved in putting on hilarious comedy shows, use your powers to axe shows you can forsee are not going to be funny!

It'll certainly save me from having to flick through crud TV programmes.

    ;-)

I know when my telephone is going to ring, and I usually know who it is.

Maybe because its always the same people calling at the same time... or maybe its something more surreal.....

I can guess numbers and events, and pretty much see what will happen over the next few hours, people's reactions etc, but I attribute this solely to the statistical way of thinking that I have, giving everything probabilities and making fast decisions on them - it's an automatic process, i don't even think about it.

PS: thanks to this I have been able to win many times at dice and 'coin flipping' for the occasional free beer here :)

It happens to me too, many times indeed. But I don't think it's about being psychic or sth. I believe that time is an illusion, as well as the whole universe as we see it by using our senses. Another brain translation, this time for the 4th dimension, thus sometimes our brain does some mistakes and we experience all those weird predictions. :)

I wonder if any of that would stand in court if I took a PS3 and Wii from the local game stores shelves and my defence was that I had actually paid for the items in another dimension? Hmm?

Agreed. It happens to everyone at some point. I had a friend who got in a car accident a few months ago, and we didn't think damage was that bad. The next day, one of my other friends called and as soon as the phone rang I knew she was dead. I think this has something to do with emotional connections you make with people though. Whatever...

I had a girlfriend that could read my mind. Not the usual "I know what you're thinking" that comes with being very close to someone, she actually was able on occasion to know exactly what I was thinking of, especially when it was about things that were negative towards her. I won't get into particulars as they are somewhat personal :)

I can only think of one time I was able to do this, which was with another girl (who unfortunately I was not dating, long story.) I don't want to go into details here either, She was worried about something, and I knew excatly what this girl was worried about. I don't know if it was just like a subconscious reading of her body language or what, I just "knew" it.

One day I am going to develop this skill and take over the world.

Man, I've been getting out all the time this year!

You know how long my Monday schedule used to be this semester?

    8:00 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m. I go home for an hour and a half for lunch and then I have a 3 hour class from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.!

While I was making my dinner yesterday I was thinking of that same exact joke. When I got home from class about 4 hours later, that episode was on.

It could be merely the fact that they show the same damn episodes every day (I think TBS has shown that musical FG episode at least 4 times a month), but this episode wasn't frequently shown and I havent seen them show it in a long time.

Anyways, this was meant to be a joke topic, but it still confounds me a bit. Most people, for instance at the College I go to, read and study their notes, while I hardly ever look at them, and I still make a better grade. Yes, I know I'm that type of guy everyone wants to kill for being pretty good at retaining information, but still. Just the other day, I took a Spanish test and I didn't study a bit. I was the one who set the curve.

But now that I am freakin' finally finished for this semester, I'm going to stay home and sleep and play videogames!

hmmm this will freak you out guys. I have had quite alot of psychic moments, and here is one. That has made me scared about two months ago.

Back in May I had a knock on my door, and I thought it was my neighbour, but it wasn´t. It was a former friend who I hadn´t seen for almost a year and a guy I had never met before , and he tried to force me into paying a debt that I DON`T have at all. And I reported it to the police, and well then I was scared alot. And then about two months ago, I had a dream where I met the guy again, and yes I was almost over my fear from back then. And I told my father, that I had a dream where I met the guy, and I almost payed up the money that I didn´t owe him. And here comes the freakiest part of the story, guess who I met the same day ?

Well, I met the guy the same day, and he began again saying that I owed him money, and I said I didn´t owe him any money. And then I went and found my father, and said the person from the dream was here. And then he repeated the sentence that I owed him money, and then my father and I walked away from the person, and then he said he knew where I lived, and he had people out here looking for me, and it would be worse for myself. Since he would come out and stab me down.

So now when ever the lawyers are going to take this case, and he is punished, then I can only say this.

I don´t owe him ANY money at all !
And I don´t like to be threatened on my life, and especially when my family is involved. And then about a month ago, I couldn´t sleep, since I had a bad feeling something would happen again, And then I went down, to the postoffice to pay a bill, and get a package, there when we were done, then I met the partner in crime from May, but not the former friend. So psychic or not, this isn´t a joke.

It's not being psychic or anything like that. It think it's just how the brain works. Same with predictions and such. And when you think about something that then happens the next day, that might just somehow stand out in your mind more than the other hundreds or thousands of thoughts you had. I'm sure it'd be neat to have ESP and all that, but I'm not convinced anyone does because there are plenty of ways to decieve and figure out what someone is doing or thinking without them telling you.

Psychic or not I said , since this is not a fantasy story. This is the truth, and no wonder why I got scared, because of this. Not the dream, but a former friend who I don´t consider a friend today. And not even a "friend" , since the person ripped me from money so much, that he owed me money, and not the other way around.
