Oh, come on, where's the fun here? Look up the Katakana names and start searching on Yahoo Auctions. Shouldn't take you more than a few minutes and you'll get a feeling of achievement too. ;-)

Also note that prices change ALL the time ! They also change from city to city. On Yahoo last week a Mega CD ver.1 went for 13'000 yen yet I bout a mint one for 3500 yen froma local store. I had to buy another though so visited a store in the next citythat wanted 8000 yen for a system that wasn't even as mint as the 3000 yen one.

there is never a set price on used items.

if you want to know retail thats different but +10year old consoles can cost anything from 100000 to 1 yen depending on store, shape, quantity, clientel etc..

Can any one answer my question of how long is a piece of Japanese string? :110:

As people said, condition, where you buy it, when you buy it and what direction the wind is blowing will alter the prices of machines dramactically. I bought a boxed Super 32X for Y3000 but I've seen them go much higher, up to Y15,000.

nope, that is a different one. They one you bought still has all the original bags and instructions. That cost a lot more than 3000 yen.

I'm sure Yakumo wouldn't be cruel enough to say 'Yes it was a bargain 3000 Yen, triples all round...'

Going around Aki today, the average prices of boxed complete machines were

    SFC - Y5000
AES - Hohoho. Found one at Y20000
    S32X - Y5000
    PCE - Y6000
PCE SCD Unit - Didn't see any... Loose they are Y5000

Man, that Super Famicom is two euros more expensive that the ones sold at Japan Game Stock... I guess I'm not getting ripped off at all. d:

God, 30€ for the Super 32X, shops here sell them boxed complete for 24800 円.

About the AES, Hit-Japan uses to sell them for 25000 円 with three complete cheap games, so I guess I'm neither getting ripped off. d:
