In my searches I've read various places that Mega Man Legends 2 was released for PC in the US, but other sites say it was going to be, but never was. Then to add to the confusion I've found different release dates. One potential date is July 12, 2001 while another is February 2, 2003. Does anybody know what the actual release date is if it even was released in the US? If it was released was it in a big box like for the first game?
Where's the best place to look to see if something was released? It would have to be a shop. What shop would have this game if it existed? Yeah I've been watching that page for a long time, and nothing has ever shown up. Since it uses the Legends 1 artwork that made me wonder even more if it was released. I also wonder since it says the average price is 1 cent does that maybe mean a copy hasn't sold on ebay before?
I've never see a US box for the game. Game Spy lists some company called Medit Kite as the US publisher which is what wikipedia cites. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_Legends_2#cite_note-gamespy-1-4 It's weird that the Japanese version on PC isn't listed on wikipedia.
I was waiting for this one to hit the shelves back in my high school days and it never came to any EB Games near me. I searched again years ago but only found info that the Japanese version was released. It is just another Mega Man game that got the ax but left Mega Man fans confused in the end. I don't think the game was ever officially deemed canceled which is where all the confusion comes from.
So kind of like the GBA Mega Man Anniversary Collection which was put on indefinite hold even though we know it meant it was most likely cancelled. Ironically we still have it in our system at work. =P
