I've just found an old Croc 2 PS1 PAL demo disc [SLED-02119], I can't find much information or any downloads for this specific version on the internet, and I was just wondering if this is anything special, probably not, but I though I'd create a topic anyway and see.
Your disc looks to be rare and near final. The only place I've seen it mentioned from a quick search is on Digital Press. The demo disc for the NTSC version has a completely different title screen. Also, the demo should have debug functionality (plug a controller into port 2 and press X). It will show your coordinates, level info and something about the CD (possibly the pressed disc number). I don't know how the files are organized on your disc, but if it is setup the same way as the NTSC disc, then do the following to find out what build of the game you're playing: - Download PS2DIS - Drag and drop the "CROC2.EXE" file found in the "CROC2" folder into PS2DIS - Press Ctrl+G and paste this into the entry field (press Enter): "Running version %s\%s[%s]\n" - Scroll down from that text to gather the info Oh, and there is also a button cheat (save state function or something). It looks to require a memory card to work. When entered, it will reset the demo. I have not played the demo in a very long time. I'll look into it later, though. Currently juggling a couple of things at the moment.
Thank you for the information Hacc, I'll check it that out later and post an update with more information, I'll also compare it with the other NTSC demo and create a list of any differences, such as the main menu you mentioned.
I'm pretty sure i had this too, it has a proper full colour printed disc right? I think it came with Playstation Magazine like the Tekken 3 demo disc.
