Idiot Question - Help with wiring

I currently in the process of building my own Supergun, and have run into a snag. I have daisy chained the ground wire for all the buttons and joystick switches. Do I connect the individual wires to the prong on the cherry switch that lets current through when the button is -not- pressed, or do I connect to it the prong that lets current through -when- pressed.
