I'm keeping a watch on it, though not actively using it. Though the thought of a compatibility mode entices me, considering how atrocious IE 7 can be sometimes in that regard

I believe 17 people in the world (12 MS employees) use IE.

After IE7 fucked up streaming videos from my site I'm not going with them. Very strange that all other browsers still work though.

Gosh, do you embed high power hallucinogens to make IE7 users think that they are indeed watching a streaming video? (Works on IE7 on my GFs XP2 machine...)

Everytime I tell people to use Opera or something else, they just keep using IE7, so those 5 other people must have encountered me at some point.

    Yes I do:033:

It's true though. Since Microsoft brought out IE7 the videos on my site will only stream if you are using Vista. The will stream once in using XP but once only. I've checked this on my PC, 6 different PCs in work all with different IPs and my mates PC. Seems very strange that all was fine before the update.

Still, who gives a toss when Fire Fox and all the other browser work fine on any OS.

It's pretty nippy, but until they sort out some kind of solid extension framework I don't see why anyone would use it over Firefox. I'm still using it for kicks, but outside of the rendering gains it doesn't offer anything substantial, and lacks what I want. As soon as someone sorts out alternatives for adblock, noscript, and gestures, I'll be properly sold.

Didn't both IE8 and Chrome report the sites you were watching?

I hate all versions of IE and when 7 came out i gave a try but after 5 mins i gave it up and went back to my firefox.

I still think Firefox is great but on my old install of windows i had major problems with FF3 not keeping my saved pages/logins and other stuff which probably isn't ff3's fault but i now use opera untill i decide to switch back.

Untill someone say's IE8 is great i'll never use it unless i have to download something from the MS website that need you to use IE or pages that only work in IE but other than that i'll never use it.

I beta test enough Microsoft software unwillingly, I'll wait till it comes in an automatic update.

Not even had IE8 beta installed 2 minuites and its cause me problems already.

Decided to try IE8 out just to see how well or should i say rubbish it is, 1st problem was i needed vista updates which was fine but after 1st download one said it couldn't install so needed to re-download it when it did install.

2nd problem, restared my machine and then loaded up vista and finally IE8 but i couldn't change any setting like having menu toolbar as ntohign happened and it would show connecting in tab even when i visited several pages of a website.

3rd problem was it woudn't close without a Ctrl, Alt, Del.

I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that these were 1st time problem since its started working ok now but i doubt i'll switch from firefox/opera to this any time in the near future.
