Been collecting since about 198something when I started with a Sinclair 48K which has long since deceased and progressed onto Nintendo with some Sony, Seaga and MIcrosoft inbetween but it's Nintendo which was my first proper love (sorry Sir Clive!) and that is my focus these days. My aim is to try to use this to not only chronicle what some might say is a miss-spent youth, teens, twenties and then some or a huge money sink but also to motivate myself into sorting it into something a little more delightful to the eye. First off a snap shot of how it was a few years back. Some prime items front and center but never enough room to spread it all out. With limited space and a few BIlly bookcases from Ikea not too bad a setup but confined to one corner of a room it was't what these games deserved. My star truns, NR reader, the first of my Dev items along with the 2 Famitsu Game Boys. Club Nintendo items are GB Micro Famicom 2 player faceplate and Wii TV remote control. Limited Edition FF DS from 7/11. Stack of Famicom disks and Mario socks given by a friend to my then girlfriend in case any off sprint inherit my nerd credentials. 64DD (almost) full set, just missing the super expensive games. Most of ym Zelda games and some other SNES gems. Demon Crest is sealed as is COnkers BFD (not that I planned that but each were purchased at a time that conincided with me not being able to play for a while and so by the time I got to them I didn't have the heart to open them for some reason). StarFox, love and hate... StarFox64 is one of my favourite games but to suffer the indiginity of Lylat Wars as a title....... Growing DS colleciton and some souvenirs from my time living abroad. DS VIP pak, I felt so special. Now in a new place with a room soon to be dedicated to games and still things end up kind of in the corner. Need to pick up a few more shelf type items but the room is lackingin space already..... It's just about getting things in a tidy/clean place for now. My reason for buying a PS2...... Specifically DDR MAX which makes sense seeing as it was DDR (and FF7) that I bought the PSX for. Although Drummaina and IIDX soon took over as my lead Bemani game DDR wil always have a special place. And a few other bits to titilate... IC Cards, so everyday yet the posibiltiy for such fun. It's a shame Tokyo lost it's train cards and an even greater shame London has not seen fit to ever have a more exciting oyster card. The result of spenidng nearly 24 hours sitting waiting to meet Miyamoto was well worth it. Signed Mario Sunshine in the drawer too. They didn't let me get hime to sign Dohin 64 My dev items most of which are via members here. A silly momment form a thread years ago to see how tall anyone could get a Mega Drive. I ignored the main criteria perhaps but it looks so nice. The HDD from Beatmani Core, have the ROM chips somewhere too, box can be seen in one of the above photos. On going GC collection, missing a couple from shot (Hanshin, Metal Gear and Q) so need to update this (and missing Gundam GC from colleciton). Next up will be to try and capture other systems and more modern games once it all gets a but more organised. EDIT: Handhelds Added Cataloging my handhelds and I realise I have misplaced one of my DS's which is annoying as that means it's packed somewhere at my parents house. Beautiful collection!!!!!!!!! Good to see another big N fan here BTW, I noticed a bokken in one of your pics, do you practice kendo?
Nice collection! Those are arcade cards, right? Those are hard to come by in the US these days. I used to have an Initial D one, but I lost it, and the machine near my house doesn't dispense them any more. I still have 2 Wangan Midnight ones, though... and I think I have one for that Sega beetle fighting game somewhere.
Very cool collection. A boxed shop Satellaview? You don't see one of these everyday These jpn PS2 and DS games looks brilliant on your shelf. Of course that's only one of the many reasons to collect them ^^"
Toyed with the idea but gave up on it due to high blood pressure although may try again later on. Yes, most are arcade cards with some travel cards thrown in. I have some Mushi King and Initial D cards too... hmm I wonder where they got to? I didn't realise the Satellaview came any other way, cheers for pointing that out. I am aiming on getting one shelf long enough for all the DS carst, they are the perfect mix of size and style. Makes me miss Japanese GC cases.
Just realised I missed 3 out in that photo as I was still moving... adds to list of stuff to photo again.....
Looking forward to seeing that. Meant to say that earlier. Apologies for double post... but Gameboy porn added
