If Propeller Arena was going to be released on Sept. 19, '01 copies should exist!

As of August 2001 this was the supposed release date in North America it seems and I have no reason to doubt it as the leaked copy of Sega AM2's game is finished, debug and all. The game had the even worse distinction of being set for launch several months after Sega announced they were leaving the hardware business and was fireselling Dreamcast stock. Any other possible release dates for this game?

If the game was never unofficially delayed/cancelled prior to 9/11 then retail NSTC-U copies must have existed. Some later Dreamcasts were made in China but I believe all games were printed in Japan. Don't be surprised if legit copies of this turn up at some point unless they were destroyed.

It was to be released toward the end of sept.and after the events sega felt it was best not to publish the game period cause of dreamcast being discontinued. Actually discs for North America were made in America. I think it took about a week or two weeks to do a full run so most likely no discs were pressed.

I seem to remember hearing about a one or two week time for pressing gdroms before release dates in the context of DC Half Life. While I wasn't able to locate the source for that, I found some semi relevant info from these forums:

Quote from DonnyK, purported former sega exec who put up the first geist force beta for sale.

So this conversation about propeller arena probably happened extremely quickly after 9/11 - although 9/11 happened in the morning on the east coast, so I'm sure the cautionary/cancellation wheels were turning in sega's heads by the afternoon of 9/11 or 9/12. I was anticipating the game at the time and remember hearing very quickly that it was indefinitely postponed from ign.

On a related note, also from DonnyK:
