I dont like vans, but if Nissan does make this one I swear to god I will buy it Not so hot? check the interior: The only problem? this car is targeted toward surfers (hence the beach colors and fish in the monitor) which is a really bad decision since most surfers dont have the money to pay for this kind of stuff, and even if they do 90% is too dumb to use this kind of gear. As most concepts, this van will probably be discarded, which is a shame cuz its a great idea. In my opinion this is a way better "gamer car" than the Surge concept (the compact car with a X360 built in) since I know a lot of guys who would rather live with they parents and lease this van than paying the rent of some crumy apartment. Fuck, I would get one so I dont have to stay in the college dorms all day (except for sleeping).
It looks to me like an internet cafe in a van. (edit) that's awesome, I just noticed the passenger seat slides into the back!
Ask the Nissan guys:lol: Yeah I know, in fact I may get a Van and make the interior just like this:dance::love2: Nah thats the "Magical Rainbow Pedophile" van at GM's stand...
That's awesome, except the rims look kinda funky... like the concept artist was having a seizure or something. But then the interior is the interesting part anyway.
It's not targeted towards surfers, it's targeted towards businesses. The back of the van is supposed to be a custom fit-out, it would just come from the factory like a standard panel van (albeit tiny) and then dealers would provide various custom fit options for the rear depending on what the user's needs are. The demo vehicle was supposed to be set up for an oceanic photographer, hence all the water-related crap, the workstation, et cetera. I know this because I read it all on Autoblog. I think it's a neat idea but I don't see it going to production, except maybe as the next "Nissan Cube". The interior is your typical concept car spaceship interior that will look nothing like the real thing.
Man I love my 240 and I'll drive Nissans untill I'm dead, but.. If there is one thing they are bad about, it's having their production cars look anything like their concepts. Here's to hoping that the GTR is as sexy as it should be. Now here is the protoype Versa. Quite sexy... For a front wheel drive =P And here is the end result.. The car that Hiro saves the world in every week.
Yeah, that is very true. I can't argue that at all. I do think in retrospect though that it seemed like it wasn't supposed to be a budget minded car. When they showed that proto about 1.5 years before the actuall car came out I thought it was to take on the Civic SI, VW rabbit class, etc. I had no idea they would put it in the Chevy Aveo class.
Honestly, i'm hating most of the new cars being released. And this is just one more of them. They all look "interesting" on concept pictures, but wouldn't "work" on real life. If this would go to production, you would pay a ton of cash for a small van, with not much cargo space, with ridiculous interior quality ( full of cheap quality plastics ), not to mention that floor. BMW for example was amazing, but Chris Bangle destroyed them. All BMW look terrible. The Series 1 is stupid. Ugly, Slow, Cheaply made and Expensive. The only desirable BMW today is the M6. But even that one doesn't get my attention. Anyway, i'm more down to earth when it comes to cars. My Xsara VTS is great, running on ethanol (E85) meaning 2.0 Engine = 180HP,... My only complaint is the insurance. I would trade it for a VW Corrado VR6 or a Honda CRX, but those are hard to find down here, which means $$$
As long as the car is reliable, good with gas, powerful, and gets me some booty, then I'm good to go.
I don't see the appeal at all. Looks like a prepubescent ADHD kid's/Ali G's fantasy car. Blinky lights and neon plastic
