Jesus himself could touch every 360 console in Japan, it still wouldnt move. Ive been following this game myself, and im very excited to see what this has to offer. But if DOA didnt sell in Japan, this will only turn just a few heads.
The best thing that could happen to 360 is for it to gain interest in Japan. Not from a sales perspective, but we'd see many more Japanese dev climbing aboard. It's a great platform, it just needs something beside 3rd rate EA games and cookie cutter racing. Makes me sad.
It will definitely help, but I see more success for the title in the west rather than in japan. The xbox had like 3 DOAs and a lot of SE's in japan, and it didnt do that good either. What? you think the japanese only play hentai games? that they cannot even think about a game without semi-naked broads?
Please tell me you use the short bus to get to school every morning. I would request for you to point out where did I mention that the Japanese gaming market only plays hentai games? Please point it out, i seem to be going blind and not able to locate it. If you followed any of the 360 launch in Japan (clearly you didnt), Doa was a key game to sell consoles in Japan. Hence why Microsoft pushed to get the game out before christmas. Saddly DOA only ranked 15th in the sales charts, and didnt sell as well as MS wanted it to.
You guys laugh at me, but if the 360 had a little of everything, it would have a chance. I've not heard of one Pachinko or dating sim game in the pipe.
The game looks decent visualy (still has some issues though), but nothing yet has given me the impression it'll have any depth. As for getting Japan to embrace the console, I don't see that happening anytime soon. And im sure I don't need to name any of the reasons why.
