    Those things where only good for HyperStudio and Dinosaur Park.

    Linux can be run on anything above a 386.

    Sure, but those are Apple Macs, which have never been run on x86 cpus, plus those ones are old and run on Motorola CPUs.

    As I said :smt043 FWIW, you could run Linux on two of those Macs as well. The third one (the IIsi) is almost 14 years old. I really don't think it'd be practical to run Linux in any way shape or form on anything older than a Pentium 1 considering those and other computers that age and up to a few years newer cost similar amounts of next to nothing.

    They are perfect for hardware firewalls. Let me know when you can upgrade those macs :smt023

    That is why you use small distros designed to boot from floppies etc

    Speaking of old macs, I currently have 3 of them at home, 14 in a friend`s shed, 4 monitors, but only one cable to actually connect a monitor to a mac :Hangman:
